[ Healthy treats with a spicy twist ]
Yes the day arrived to sell Sharp Sharp food again in Rotterdam. Excited & energetic, even after 2 days of non stop baking, we’re ready for people to experience our treats & get feedback. From the last market we attended in May this year we learned a lot, this resulted in a better planning, tweaked recipes & less stress.
This time we had no savoury muffins, raspberry truffles, mango crumble or ginger apple cake, instead we added 4 new dishes. The cashew/pistachio bar, we created because last time we came across a lot of people with a peanut allergy & wanted to create a nuts bar for them too. We served our strawberry/rhubarb treats this time & added spicy with cayenne pepper & red chili pepper. We served our oats/raspberry/chocolate bars, which were the spiciest treats this time. Then our last dish was a new almond tart with lemon/ginger curd, which turned out great. 3 out of the 4 new dishes sold out on saturday, it does feel super good.
All Sharp Sharp treats are always gluten free & this time we made all of them sugar free & dairy free. (some vegan) Super proud to make a curd without sugar & butter that taste as good as the original version. I got so inspired that I will probably experiment a bit more with some new versions of curd, maybe with grapefruit or maybe even a spicy curd.
On the market we got a lot of positive feedback & a lot of question where you could buy our treats. So I am going to consider a webshop or maybe something else. You will find out over the next few weeks, when I have more news. For now most of the recipes you can find on my blog here anyway, which means you can create the treats yourself ^_^
